Well, look no further as we have a number of great ideas for getting into the Easter spirit, engaging kids creatively, decorating your learning and living spaces and much more. Check out the following ideas for using Easter Eggs and other holiday themed cut-outs to enhance your creating this Easter season!

You’ve been Egged! Use egg cut-outs and egg your Neighbors.

You’ve been Egged! is a fun Easter activity that has been increasing in popularity the last few years as more and more families get in on the fun. Now don’t get alarmed, as we’re not talking about leaving raw eggs at your neighbor’s homes. No, what we’re referring to is the fun and anonymous activity of hiding treat filled eggs around you neighbor’s yard for them to find. This growing trend and unique take on an Easter Egg Hunt is a fun way to celebrate the holiday and share in the spirit by treating your friends and neighbors.

“Egging” your neighbors is simple and easy to do. First, you’ll need a number of plastic eggs and fill them with fun, little treats. This can be anything from stickers, temporary tattoos, pieces of candy and jelly beans, mini erasers, coins and more. There’s no limit to what you can add as long as it will fit in the egg! As an added treat you can also fill a basket to leave on their porch or front steps, or even make small goodie bags, with larger treats, smaller toys, and snacks like granola bars and rice cereal treats. Then take a cut-out egg, such as our Marble Egg, and write a fun message letting your neighbors know that they’ve been egged and how many eggs you’ve hidden around their yard.  We’ve included an example below of what you can write on the egg, but feel free to be as creative as you want when creating your message. Create a whimsical poem, write riddles to give them clues where the eggs are hidden, the choice is yours. Then when the time is right, such as when your neighbors aren’t home, hide the eggs around the yard, place the extra goodies and then you can tape the easter egg with the message to their front door so they know they’ve been egged.

They can then engage in the fun task of finding the eggs and seeing what treats they’ve received, with this Easter Egg hunt being a joy for families with young children. They will hopefully then go on to egg a neighbor’s house themselves. The idea is to spread the joy, share in the Easter fun and get the whole neighborhood involved by egging someone else’s home after you’ve been egged. Be sure to keep your sign on the door so other families know you’ve already been egged!

Techers, a fun thing you can do with Easter cut-outs is to create whimsical Easter themed bulletin boards and door decorations to bring the holiday cheer to your classrooms, preschools, daycare rooms and more. We know it can sometimes be difficult to decorate your classrooms when there are so many other tasks that need to get done, perhaps you want to create engaging classroom décor but just don’t have the time. That is why our time saving cut-outs are a life saver for busy teachers as they eliminate the need for cutting; you can just remove them from the package and get creating. And the best part is that your bulletin board and door designs can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. These cut-outs are even great for getting your students in on the fun for an afternoon crafting activity. Perfect for DIY crafts for kids, give your students an egg and some crafting materials such as pencils, pens, crayons, markers, paints and more. Then let them go wild and allow their imaginations to soar. Have them create their egg masterpieces and then display those on school or classroom walls, bulletin boards or classroom doors for the whole school to see. This way the students can engage in creative play while also helping in the process of decorating their classroom. Design Your Own Easter Baskets and Bunnies

Looking for a fun way to spend time with the family or to keep your kids engaged with something that doesn’t involve them sitting in front of a screen? Well, why not spend the time crafting as a family! Spending time as a family is one of the most important things, but in this day and age of being constantly on the go or looking to technology it can be hard to find time to connect. Work, school, sports and other commitments can make it hard to spend that precious time together. But when you do something as a family, such as working on a craft project, not only are you making those connections and memories, but you are also creating something that you can display throughout your home. In this case, you can create fun Easter decorations as a family that you can then put on doors, windows and more. Kids can enjoy spending time with Mom and Dad crafting holiday creations. And while it is important to spend time as a family, many of these craft ideas can also be made by kids with minimal help from parents, so it can also be a great way for kids to spend time and keep occupied even on their own when they want some crafting time.

A fun craft that can be made for the Easter season is to design your own Easter Baskets and Bunnies. These Easter Bunny crafts for kids are ideal for spreading joy and reflecting the Easter and Spring seasons. All you need is our Super Basket Cut-outs, an assortment of large and small Egg Cut-Outs in either single, assorted or marble colors, and some assorted color Bunny with Ear cut-outs. Kids or families can decorate the egg cut-outs however they want using markers, crayons, colored pencils, glitter and more. Then once you have an assortment of uniquely decorated eggs, they can be glued so they are within the basket, which can also be decorated. A fun activity would be to have everyone decorate their own baskets with eggs and then display the whole family’s Easter Baskets on a door or the wall. You can also create your own bunnies to put with the baskets, or string them together to create unique bunny garlands and hang around your home.

These Easter baskets would also make an exciting activity for a classroom as well, incorporated into learning centers or even just as a craft activity for an afternoon. Everyone’s Easter baskets and bunnies could then be displayed on the classroom door, bulletin boards, even throughout the school hallways. Make it a school or grade wide activity that everyone who walks the school hallways can see. As part of a learning center activity you can make kids holiday craft kits, with cut-out shapes and other materials that they can use in exploring their creativity. Or you can save time and get a pre-made activity kit that is ready to go, like our Easter Activity Kit that is perfect for home and classroom crafting! Just what you need to easily create those Easter decorations!

Create Lent Bulletin Boards for VBS and Sunday School

The Easter season is a period signifying hope and renewal, with Lent being a time for reflection and prayer. Dress up those Sunday school and VBS classrooms with bulletin boards and other religious crafts and decorations that symbolize the season and help teach kids about the importance of Lent and Easter. Our White Cross, Brown Cross and Assorted Color Cross cut-outs are ideal for enhancing Sunday school crafting activities. For example, you can have kids decorate assorted crosses with heart cut-outs and write what they are thankful for, what they are giving up for lent, etc. Then the crosses can be displayed on a bulletin board for everyone to see. This kindness project not only helps kids learn more about the importance of the season but it also helps make the celebration of Easter more thoughtful.
